Spring time in the park
Rowena Bennett
I heard the springtime coming
Across the winter snow.
I heard it in an icy brook
That just began to flow.
I heard it in a running wind
That pushed a cloud along.
And in some little hiding thing
That made a chirping song.
This poem remindes me of my hometown.
The spring time of my hometown.
Green everywhere
The hills
The fields
Even the water was green
Hope! Yes, that's HOPE!
Haven't seen such green for years
Haven't felt the HOPE for years
Cause the busy work, cause the busy life!
Miss! Miss! Miss!
Miss the green & hope!
Miss the green or hope!
Hope one day
Feel the green & hope again!
