Abstract:
Molded pulp product is a kind of environmental-friendly package cushioning material. In this paper, the effect of cross section area on the cushioning properties of molded pulp product is obtained by use of static compression tests, and an equivalent area theory is presented, and the cushioning property of molded pulp product is described on the basis of the equivalent area theory. All the results have established theoretical basis of design and application for molded pulp product in distribution packaging.
