成功在寄样,失败在定单,痛........(YC) (2006/12/06 13:57)

这是我第一次写这么多,请大家多多支持和指正!

 Ahamed是我八月底的时候联系到的客人,他原不是买我们这种产品的,而且他的公司信息我通过各种方式也没有查到,也碰巧了那天我不是太忙,就给他写信过去,他很快回过来了说他们一直做这个的,但是我们的这种产品还没有接触过,我就把我们产品的各种资料,从原料一直到成品都有很详细的介绍给他,因为他是学化学的,所以我一说他也就很容易就懂了,但是由于他实在没用过所以也不敢轻易去买我们这种产品的,所以也就谈到了寄送样品的事,我下面的摘抄也主要围绕样品的寄送问题.

寄样是个头痛的问题,希望我这个实例能为大家提供某些参考吧,如果能如所料,也是笑佛玉之幸事.

Dear Selina,

These are the samples that we need from you in order to test your products as follows:

1-a

2-b

3-c

4-d

Our address is: xxx,xxx

Please confirm the sending of above items.

 Ahamed的这封信前我们只谈到产品的包装问题,看官可以看到他这封要求我们寄送样品的信内容简洁清楚,直截了当.但是我们不能像他那样那么干脆的什么都免费给他啊,就是样品免费的话,运费到他们那里还要五百多呢.所以我要写信让他们先付运费过来啊,这里还有个小插曲,就是我把另外一个客人的帐号记成是他的了:

Thank you for your informing.

Is your  acc number 20245?

I 'll prepare samples in a PE bag andsend you on Sep18 and tell you the track number duly.

因为不是他的帐号所以他问了:

Dear  Ahamed

I am sorry that I took  another customer's acc by mistake.But you will be highly appreciated if you inform usyour forwarder(DHL or others) and account for sending samples. 

For the samples,yes,we have prepared for you already today.And will send to you and another customer on next Monday.

他回信很及时,但就是不提供他的帐号:

Dear Selina,

You can send the samples by DHL, TNT, or UPS. We do not have account number but these forwarders can reach us easily by address.

Good morning!

 Yes, the DHL,TNT or any other international express is able to ship the goods to the place its customers asked to delivery to.

 But I think you did not understand us.For sending samples,the delivery charge should be  freight collect,so the consignee should advice us their account to assure getting the samples smoothly.For more than 3 samples,the extra ones are payed by the customers only if the amount is abovexxus dollar.

 We already told this principle in the letter dated Thursday, September 07, 2006"we would like send you free samples, but freight collect." SoWe agree to send yousamples  atfree.

We are waiting for your advice.

Dear Selina,

 Please confirm if you are going to send all the requested types free of charge. By sending them with DHL, TNT or UPS, you give to the forwarder only our address (no account) and we can take the samples here without any problem.

这个客户很有耐心的,也够罗嗦的,不知道是不是我的表达也不大清楚,请看:

公司是不会出样品的运费的,如果以后给我们做了还好,如果白出的话谁也不会干的,样品费就占了我工资的1/4还多点呢,够我仨月的饭钱了,所以我还是不能让步啊,

The samples can be free for this time,but you should pay for the freight,so you are expected to advice us about  your forwarder(DHL or others) and account for sending samples.

我查了一下TNT到他们那里的运费,马上告诉客人,

 The freight cost is about 50USD.

 Tomorrow is our National Day,we will have a seven-days holiday for National Day as well as Mid-autum Festival.

So we will come back for work on Oct8.

他还怀疑我运费也赚他的钱呢,(实际上,我们还倒贴几十块钱呢)

Please confirm the cost of 30 USD in order to order the samples.Please check UPS and TNT and inform us about their freight cost for the requested samples

Dear Ahamed,

I checked TNT,the first 0.5kg charges 260 RMB,1 - 5.0kg(per 0.5kg) charges 80RMB,fuel fee:14.5%,

(260+80)x1.145=xx(RMB),xx/7.88=xx$

 The weight of the samples is 0.75kg.As calculated above,the freight cost should be xxUSD,not including the bank  handling charge. 

Please be noted that TNT already give me 7%discount cause we have signed contract,UPS will not give me so much discount,so it will be more expensive..

Please consider and advice us of your decision.

We agreed to pay you 50 USD in order to send in our address the requested samples as follows:

The payment will be by WESTERN UNION in your name (not through the bank as it is very expensive). You will receive 50 USD in your name and after that you will pay this amount to your company. Please confirm and give your full name, address and telephone number in order to proceed.

他说我们的产品质量很好!让我们把价格给他过去,之前虽然谈到包装但是还没涉及的价格,我们这边也是想等他收到样品后再说价格,因为我们的产品和价格都比普通的同类产品要高些,想着他看到样品后,对于价格就好说些.但是,只是我们的一相情愿,他还是嫌价格高,所质量好是好,但是肯定还是可以再降的,我们到后来几乎都没加什么利润了他还是嫌高,还说我的竞争对手的价格比我们的底了近20%,如果原料一样的话,比我们低是不可能的.

他说we are sorry but we can not establish our relationship for the time being. Our aim was to start with you but are you which decide on this matter.Your samples have been really with good quality and good row material.  Our proposal is realistic based on the good prices.

我们将近四个月的马拉松式的谈判终因我们的价格而告终.收到他最后一封信的时候我的心好痛,好累啊,就是到现在还有想哭的感觉.跟踪这个客人这么长时间,感觉他的脾气应该蛮好的,因为他的每封信都很及时,而且说话也不瘟不火的很客气.但到头来很讽刺的结果:我说服他买我们这种产品代替他原先打算采购那种材料,但是却没能留住他做我们的产品!

之后,随我怎么给他发邮件或者在MSN上问候他,他都一声不吭的,将近大半年的时间还处在这个状态。以前我有气馁过,心想不买我们产品就算了,全世界那么多人做我们产品的生意,缺你一个算得了什么。但是我又很不甘心,因为是我介绍他买我们这种产品的,现在却和我们竞争对手合作去了,上次不能合作,难道就再也不能联系了么没有机会了么?机会都是人创造出来的!我还真要和他较上劲了,只要他不封杀我的邮箱。哈哈。

    先不评价老外的可信度.
    不谈价格, 先要样品,  客户的做法也不妥贴.
    如果是 尼日利亚 或者一些非洲国家,样品费用预付是必然的.

  • 很正常拉,最好先谈价格再给样品.中东和印巴的客户很多都是些个体户, 并没有什么实体公司, 有时他们是拿了你的样品去压其他供应商的价钱,因此对于此了所谓客户要千万谨慎. 我们遇到此类人太多了, 有时他们非常贱, 不用把那些太当回事他反而会给你很大的让步. 综合来说他们的商业习惯的诚心度比较差.
